A brutal cold snap is due to frigid temperatures across Mexico over the next 36 hours to block the national meteorological authorities said Sunday.
Low temperatures and the cold front is 22, mainly the northern states, central and east, bringing rain and snow in mountain areas, particularly in the Pico de Orizaba, Perote safe , Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl mountains, after the Mexican National Meteorological Service (SMN).
The NMS has a temperature below 5 degrees Celsius have been reported in 20 states of Mexico. He also said that the temperature is less than 3 degrees Celsius below zero in Lot Ajusco volcano in southern Mexico.
The government of Mexico has issued a warning for low temperatures, has strengthened the public shelters, to take more homeless.
The local states of San Luis Potosi, Sonora, Tamaulipas, Tlaxcala, Veracruz and Zacatecas have said they intend to suspend the school for the next three days.
Local authorities in the southeastern state of Chiapas, said that the school on Monday and Tuesday, will be suspended in five regions of the country because of the cold.
NMS statistics showed that the lowest temperature was recorded in Mexico, 11 degrees Celsius below zero in the community Temosachic in northern Chihuahua state.
