Vietnam vows efforts of a strong community to ASEAN: PM

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said Wednesday that Vietnam has committed to make efforts to cooperate with other Member States of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations ( ASEAN) to develop a strong ASEAN Community and to improve cooperative relations between ASEAN and other countries in the world.
Dung assumed an obligation, then Secretary General of ASEAN, Surin Pitsuwan, who now visits Vietnam from Wednesday to Thursday.
Vietnam is ready for the role of the Presidency of ASEAN next year, said Dung. As the chair of ASEAN will strengthen Vietnam give priority to solidarity and integration among the members of the bloc.
In addition, Vietnam will focus on accelerating the cooperation between members in a successful action and concrete results, quite the ASEAN Charter to bring to life and the effective implementation of process of building the ASEAN community, the more manure.
Vietnam will strive to broaden and deepen cooperation between the Bloc and the dialogue partners like China, Japan and South Korea, said Dung.
The Secretary General of ASEAN, Surin Pitsuwan said that the ASEAN Secretariat is ready to assist efforts with Vietnam to meet the country to join the task of the presidency.
Surin Pitsuwan said the eyes of the international community always agree on the development of ASEAN, which was the block position and prospects for continued improvement in recent years.
Surin Pitsuwan expressed his hope that Vietnam and the Presidency in 2010 to take is to type the full benefits from building a strong ASEAN community benefits and objectives of member countries, ASEAN countries aimed at him .
